US shale bosses discussed ways to build pipelines more swiftly over dinner in Houston on Monday night, a popular theme on the first day of a major energy conference in the city.

Permitting reform, a long-standing demand from US fossil fuel producers, was discussed by some of the speakers at CERAWeek by S&P Global, including US Senators Joe Manchin and Dan Sullivan.
